Terms Of Sale
All users, registering to bid on any lot or any participation in an auction at Tosunidis Coin House, agree that access to and use of this Auction are subject to the following terms and conditions and other applicable law.
Condition Of Items
Our goal is to consistently deliver the highest level of products and services to our customers. The descriptions and the grading of the material represented in the Tosunidis Coin House auction executed with great care. The illustrations are part of the specification, and in case of doubt, the text is authoritative. The grading of coins is a personal judgment but corresponds to the accepted grading scale in the European coin business.
All items are “as is,” and it is the bidder’s responsibility to examine all coins upon which bids placed. Conditions of all coins are as per the photographs displayed on the Tosunidis Coin House auction; condition reports are available upon request. Condition Reports for items may be requested up to 48 hours before the date of the Auction. We will make every effort to answer all questions promptly. However, we cannot guarantee that a request submitted within 48 hours will be answered before the auction date.
It is not possible to note all marks or defects, and thus, customers are encouraged to carefully examine all coins that they are interested in before the auction takes place.
Anyone who will take part in this Auction is familiar with the conditions of sale and accepts them. Any dispute or litigation resulting from the sale of items in this auction will take place in the judicial Court in Thessaloniki, Greece.
No warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is made or implied on any item. No warranty, whether express or implied, is made concerning any item except for warranty of title, and in the case of a claim, Tosunidis Coin House is selling only that right or title to the item that you may have as of the sale date. All items are sold “AS IS’ and with all faults. You, as a result of this, assume all risks concerning and related to the grading, quality, description, condition, and provenance of an item.

Return of Lot
Once your bid accepted, then you are liable to pay for the Lot by following our Terms and Conditions. If there are any problems with a Lot, then you must notify us within 7 days of receipt of the Lot, specifying the nature of the problem.
The cancellation of the sale of any Lot and the refund of the corresponding purchase price is entirely at our sole discretion. We will not frequently exercise that discretion if we do not receive the Lot in the same condition that it was in at the auction date.
We will review under the following circumstances:
- The Buyer must examine the item by an independent party, which is approved by Tosunidis Coin House and is a recognized expert within the field of the item in question.
- The expert provides a written report with specific and detailed reasons as to why the item is not as it was represented to be.
- The written report must submit to the Tosunidis Coin House.
Our descriptions include what we deem to portray an item’s general condition accurately. However, opinions about conditions can vary, and as such, the auctioneer shall make the final determination in the possible event of a refund.
The timeline for this process is 14 days from the date of the Auction. In the event a committee or review board must convene to review the item, the Tosunidis Coin House must be notified to extend the time beyond the 14-day limit. Otherwise, after 14 days, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Once Tosunidis Coin House has accepted the ruling of the expert(s), the Buyer is to return the item to Tosunidis Coin House at the Buyer’s expense. To be eligible for a refund, you must return the item in the same condition it was in when it left Tosunidis Coin House’s possession.
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item.
In the event a refund is issued, it will be for the cost of the item, Buyer’s premium, and any sales tax paid. The reimbursement will make in the same form as the payment of the original transaction.
You will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will deduct from your refund.
By purchasing with us, the purchaser waives the right to initiate a chargeback and agrees to pay a minimum of $500 plus administrative fees, attorney fees, and any other charges associated with responding to said chargeback.
